Symphony Marine is innovating by entrusting the design of its new range of luxury solar electric motoryachts to Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design.
Specially designed to integrate the imperatives of electric propulsion while offering the level of comfort of a large yacht, the Whisper 50 is the first model to be unveiled.
Guy Marchal, President and founder of Symphony Marine, called on our agency, convinced by our long experience of multihulls and our 360° vision of projects, from naval architecture to interior design.
Elegant lines, modern fittings, involved with the preservation of our environment, the first model presented, the Whisper 50, innovates by exploring new paths. With its abundance of space and light, its panoramic view of the sea, the design and ergonomics of the layout favor relaxation and conviviality.
We are particularly proud to accompany Whisper Yachts in this forward-thinking approach, combining the luxury of a super yacht, the space, stability and autonomy of a multihull, with a silent and eco-friendly electric propulsion.
Presented as a world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the all-new J/45 has the sleek lines and performance that have made the brand so successful for the past 45 years. But the interior design has a seductive French flavour with a design by Isabelle Racoupeau. It respects the sporty DNA of the J, but its comfort and elegance are immediately appealing. The bright atmosphere, the warmth of the materials chosen and the ergonomic navigation make the J/45 the perfect flagship of the well-named ‘Elegance Yachts’ range.
We have been present at each edition for more than 20 years and we are delighted to participate again in the Monaco Yacht Show 2021. We will be very happy to welcome you on our stand: Quai des Etats-Unis / QE7.
You will also find us in the new Designer & Innovation Hub area of the show. We have indeed been honored to be invited there, and you will be able to discover a short video, summarizing our recent creations.
The innovative design of ISA ZEFFIRO 130 enhances the feeling of luxury and spaciousness, without compromising on style, for the best on-the-water experience. At 13.10 m (42.6 ft), the huge beam allows unprecedented space. The owner’s suite, located at the front of the platform, offers a 180° panoramic view of the sea. King-size bed, private lounge, desk facing the bow, and XXL-sized dressing room – there aren’t enough superlatives to describe it. The owners have at their disposal a real intimate terrace on the sea, including a jacuzzi.
Through the large openings that only a multihull can offer, natural light illuminates a refined interior designed by Isabelle Racoupeau. At night, the lighting reveals the soft harmony of the materials, enhances the contrast of the colours, and highlights the fluidity of furniture’s contemporary lines.
The large width benefits all four decks of the Zeffiro 130. At any time of day, there’s a place that perfectly meets the expectations of everyone aboard.
The flybridge measuring 80m² / 860 sq ft features a vast sunbathing area at the back, as well as a bar that enjoys the shade of the rigid bimini. On the upper deck, the choice is twofold between inside and outside. The captain’s quarters are located here, close to the helm station, which occupies the full width.
On the main deck, aft of the owner’s area, the day living area extends over 200 m²/2,200 sq ft. The boundaries between inside and outside are blurred. Or protected depending on the weather and your desires. Whether it’s time for socialising or a need for privacy, the spaces a multihull can offer are infinite. This is also true on the lower deck where passengers can enjoy their own luxurious and truly independent cabins.
The crew can work efficiently and discreetly, whether looking after the comfort of the passengers or carrying out technical work in the two large engine rooms. The redundancy and spacing of these are also a guarantee of safety. Finally, with all wings spread, the immense Beach Club will be a privileged place for living at anchor. Water sports activities will be varied thanks to the multitude of equipment discreetly stowed in the forward garages.
With a range of 3,700 nautical miles, the ISA ZEFFIRO 130 can be sailed comfortably and safely, even in rough seas. Thanks to the natural stability provided by the spacing of the hulls, it is not necessary to fit stabilisers. Finally, its very shallow draft provides virtually unlimited access to any destination including remote coves for unforgettable voyages with family and friends.
A worthy replacement for the Saona, this new Opus naturally slips into the latest generation of Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans, all bearing the signature of Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design. The level of work undertaken by the whole team at the agency is clearly evident throughout. For the exterior, the use of space has been optimised and the overall lines made ever more elegant. As for the interior, this benefits from all the latest evolutions, both aesthetic and ergonomic: renewed contemporary designs for the furniture, a redesigned galley creating a new interior/exterior relationship, and an exclusive pullman-style saloon. Having been kept totally secret, the Tanna 47 is to be presented at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival, and Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design will of course be attending.
Hanse has just announced the launch of the HANSE 460 designed entirely by Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design. We are particularly proud of the trust placed in us by the management and staff of HanseYachts AG. Heirs to a long tradition of shipbuilding, their boats are renowned worldwide for their performance and remarkable design. True to Hanse’s style, the Hanse 460 is innovative, fast and spacious. From the exterior to the interior, we have designed a yacht that combines modernity, sportiness and comfort.
In keeping with the brand’s DNA, the Gunboat 72V is set to be the fastest flybridge catamaran ever built.
In order to create an interior worthy of such an ambitious project, the shipyard called on Isabelle Racoupeau.
The result is both luxurious and refreshing, dynamic and bright. The soft shapes of the furniture and the contrast of the materials give a real personality to the Gunboat 72V, for privileged moments with family or friends.
This is another illustration of our ability to address projects as varied as they are demanding.

We’re convinced that we will all emerge from this difficult and complicated period more united, more determined and more creative than ever. As a long-time partner of many shipyards, the Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design crew is and will remain available and active in all circumstances. In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
At the beginning of 2020, our work within the agency epitomizes our team and the different talents that make it so eclectic: from 20 to over 100 feet, on one hull or two, sailboat or motorboat, production boat or one-off, naval architecture, exterior and interior design, digital images… All our resources, skills, creativity and curiosity are called upon and this is what has fascinated us every day for over thirty years. With the launch in 2017 of their new 50-foot model, Amel marked an important milestone in their long and rich history, by offering a sloop-rigged sailing boat, equipped with twin rudders. What we, as a team of naval architects, considered to be essential developments at the beginning of this millennium, could be seen as a revolution by the customers of such an iconic brand in the blue water cruising industry.
Less than two years later, the forty or so boats already sold confirms the validity of the approach that has not only attracted loyal customers, but also opened the doors of the yard founded in 1964 by Henri Amel to new owners.
Reassured by the international success of the 50, but still respectful of the company’s DNA and values, Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design have set to work on the Amel 60. Presented at this year’s Boot Düsseldorf, she will be unveiled in autumn 2019 as part of the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival.
New Amel 60 by Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design
Sixty feet is a length fully in line with the exclusive character desired for each Amel unit designed. Like the 50, this all-new boat combines the best of tradition, Amel quality, and the essential evolutions of modern yachting. The increase in volumes forward and aft in particular, provide power, performance, stability and increased interior space.
For naval architecture and exterior design, we have focused on offering a vessel that is easier than ever to sail short-handed, with attractive performance due to her increased length. Performance helped by the use of a mast that is still furling, and still an Amel design, but in carbon this time, for reduced weight aloft. A rigorous study of sail handling manoeuvres and deck layout was carried out to ensure that everything is grouped together in the essential central cockpit, protected by the aesthetic and panoramic shelter over the helm station. The sugarscoop steps allowing access aft, have soft lines, as if suspended, symbolising the care taken in the design of every detail of this new standard-setting yacht.
New Amel 60 Interior by Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design
Inside too, the subtle balance between a rich 55-year heritage and the aspirations of a clientele accustomed to the standards of the most modern luxury has mobilized us all. Clearly, the management of naval architecture and interior design within the same firm has facilitated exchanges and helped to optimize all functions. American walnut or light oak joinery will delight both lovers of classicism, and modernists alike. Like a house of mirrors, exceptional beam, central aft owner’s cabin, space prevails everywhere, even in the traditional and impeccable engine room. At maximum beam, midships, a saloon extends the cordon bleu galley to starboard, while to port, the chart table offers space and ergonomics. Forward, the length and volume of the hull design allow for two symmetrical guest cabins, absolutely identical, extended by their own bathrooms with separate showers.

Being tasked with the design of a new model for a shipyard as famous as Amel is always a challenge. We are happy and proud to have been able to take up this challenge for almost 10 years now. Careful design, impeccable seakeeping qualities, ease of handling, high quality of each item of equipment, and durability of the fittings, are just some of the specifications that we are delighted to bring to each new Amel. Perpetuating, renewing yet remaining genuine, the spirit of blue water cruising as conceived by its founder is a pleasure renewed every time for the entire Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design team.
