Open 50 & 60
Developing racing boats has been part of the tradition and the philosophy of our firm ever since it was established. The detailed studies which we undertake on these racing vessels allow us to test and refine innovations which then benefit pleasure sailors. In 1992, we were the first to prove the principal of the hanging keel for Isabelle Autissier in the OPEN 60 "Ecureuil Poitou Charentes" (New York-San Francisco record and first leg of the Boc Challenge). In 1996, Giovanni Soldini in the OPEN 50 "Telecom Italia" finished 2nd in the Transat Quebec-St Malo ahead of the Open 60 "Whirlpool" of Catherine Chabaud.
